Vedic Education System
Gurukuls were a residential schooling where the children of Brahmins, Kshatryas and Vaishyas were allowed to study after obtaining the yajnopavita at the age of around 8 and they studied there continuously for about 12 to 14 years.
Concept of vedic education system was to make people fit for society, to train them, to educate them not for any materialistic life but to develop their personality and moral character.
Meditation and Yoga were also one of the prime aspects of this education system.
Pre Independence Era
In Pre Independence India, the role of teacher education was given recognition. It was believed that when the teacher would possess adequate skills and abilities, only then they would be able to impart satisfactory knowledge to the students and promote the well being of the community.
During this era English started becoming the primary language for teaching and communication. This was the foundation of higher education in India.
Post Independence Era
Post Independence, the Indian Government established renowned institutions such as AIIMS, NIT, IIT NIFT etc.
The main intention behind this was to provide a high quality education system in India similar to that in abroad.
Government had set up many schools across the country both in villages and the cities to ease the access of quality education.
The Digital Era
Today, despite the fact that classroom teaching strategies square measure prevailing in eerie part of the country.
